Disappearing Street Posting Boxes – Correspondence

Aust Post have advised that the removal of Street Post boxes in Clifton Hill is in their view permanent due to declining letter volumes. Despite extensive correspondence below, Austpost seemingly finalised their decision and suggested we contact the Ombudsman if we are unhappy. A letter to the Ombudsman, and its reply, is below. Sadly the Ombudsman declined to investigate the matter as it beleives Australia Post acted within its terms of service in light of declining mail volumes.
